9. Anxiety Disorders
The feeling of anxiety, either ‘casually’ or clinically, has become very common in today’s fast paced environment. Whether it’s temporary and mild or chronic and debilitating, it is a very uncomfortable feeling.
Some people with anxiety disorders experience intense and persistent worry and fear about daily situations. Other people just feel a low-lying sense of nervousness and discomfort. Often, anxiety disorders involve episodes of sudden feelings of intense anxiety and fear that escalate causing a panic attacks.
When the feelings of worry become too much or interfere in your functioning, therapy can serve as a tool to help you manage. It will allow you to explore the origin of the anxious feelings and develop behavioral techniques to better cope.
