3. General Counseling
Sometimes there is not one specific reason a person sees a therapist. Instead, it’s because they are feeling a general sense of “blah” – like they have plateaued in their happiness or life purpose. Others need to process life transitions; break-ups, job changes, relocation, pregnancy, post-partum, post divorce, empty nesting, and relocation are just some of the examples of transitional life stages that therapy can help with.
In this capacity, therapy serves as a tool to work through life patterns. It is a non-judgmental space to explore your thoughts and actions and help you adjust to your circumstances. It assists in gaining clarity so you can be the best version of yourself.
